A review of the ‘Healing with the Angels Oracle Cards’ by Doreen Virtue. These beautiful oracle cards were the first set of Angels Cards that Doreen Virtue released back in 1999. They come as a box set containing 44 lovingly illustrated cards with a 48 page guide book.                                                                                                                                                                                                     

The Healing with the Angel Cards use romantic imagery and have an art deco feel about them. The back of the card is yellow and blue with a pair of Angel Wings in the centre. On the front of the oracle cards are one or two keywords at the bottom for example ‘New Beginnings’ or ‘Manifestation’. Above the writing there is Angelic artwork with the figure or figures carrying out an action that is associated with the phrase. For example in the ‘Surrender & Release’ card there is an Angel carrying a large vase with water gushing out of it, evoking associations with letting go of attachments and emotions that we are carrying but that no longer serve us. 

The accompanying booklet to the Healing with the Angels Oracle Cards is the most detailed that Doreen has produced. Each card has a couple of paragraphs for it and elaborates further on the cards meaning. There is a 9 step process on how to read the cards and further instructions on giving a reading for others. It also contains instructions for 3 further spreads.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

I have personally been working with these Angels cards since they first appeared in bookshops in 1999. Even though mine are a little dog eared I still use them an awful lot in readings. I find them simple to use and have always found them easy to understand and interpret. It is as if the meaning that they are trying to convey to someone will just jump out and you and be immediately obvious. I use them to get the overall jist of a problem and then use more specific Angel card decks depending on what the presenting issue is and which Angel or fairy cards I feel will shed more light on to it. These are great as an Angel Gift or for someone who is just starting out with Angels or reading Angels Cards. This is because not only are the meanings so obvious but the layouts that are taught in the accompanying guide book can be used with any other type of Angel or Fairy Cards and also the cards are great for just receiving daily no nonsense personal guidance and inspiration for yourself.

Welcome to Angels UK September Newsletter. The white Angel feathers I had been seeing daily in August have been replaced by lots of massive feather structures in the clouds. I was in South Wales for a week and this became a daily occurrence. Some of these ‘feather’ clouds were massive stretching right across the sky & exactly like perfect feathers with not any other clouds around them. They were so obvious that they were noted by other members of my party. The white feathers are still there usually appearing attached to one of my cat’s tails, interestingly the one whose brother is Tabby Tiddles!

This month’s channelled message from the Angels.

This month as the weather is turning gloomy and the light may be fading in some places.  We ask you to turn your attention not so much on how to attract Angels to you but rather how can you be an Angel to someone else. Imagine the effect on those around you, family, neighbours strangers if you choose to give of yourself just 10 % more. Ten percent more kindness, 10% more generosity, 10% more patience, 10% more understanding, 10% more love. Now imagine the effect of that 10% if you did that for a year. And now imagine if it started at 10% but grew more everyday, another 10% a day.  At this time with the dramatic change in light, temperature and weather in your hemisphere people need all the help they can get to stay happy and joyful. For those of you who know you are loved and supported in this world we ask you to share that energy more readily and freely. It can literally be a difference between life and death and can help others break long held patterns.  

‘Kindness transcends all. The most hardened by committing a simple act of kindness have changed for ever. It fills the donor with feelings of compassion and then reinforces to the receiver the all transcendental nature of kindness.’

We also ask that when you see people and situations where there is betrayal, struggle, injustice and suffering that you mentally send your love & compassion to it and ask that Angels are sent in to help and remedy it. Visualize it being resolved imagine that the knotted energy that binds it together being freed and that the energies of love, light and laughter can roam freely again. You may not notice change at once but make a commitment to it being resolved and persevere with your efforts. We also ask at this time of year you help the animal kingdom as food sources change. Help them too. They cannot talk so let your actions be answers to their silent prayers.

I asked my Angels to comment on the Angel Feather phenomenon and what the Angel Feather signifies. Here is the channelled information that I received:

Angel feathers signify different things at different times. When there are many feathers, or feathers arranged in such away that it does not look random the angel involved is really calling out to you to get your intention. For example, for your own recent bereavement they were there to show and remind you that there is a higher purpose to all events and to remind you to focus on that higher realm. Also, that we are with you in your hour of grief, and that we are with your loved one, embracing him in love and assisting in his smooth transition from physical life. It is to remind you of the perfect divine flow in every event, however sad, or upsetting it seems from the human perspective of being. (This refers to the loss of my beautiful cat Tabby Tiddles)

 My partner says ‘Angel feathers are like text messages from the spirit world’ would you agree? Yes, they are like that, and we urge you that when you see an Angel Feather – if you are unsure of the message we advise that you take the feather or one of the feathers and place it in your purse of under your pillow for up to 5 days and see what dreams, repeated voice messages or insights you receive. That is if the feather is clean and not soiled of course! (Chuckle). By repeated voice messages we mean mind chatter, but clearly defined, phrases that come into your mind. This may even be visions or ideas about a particular place or person. If that person is a celebrity for example, I would say that look at their life and recent history as there is a similar issue or something similar for you to look at or learn by – an issue that you share. It may also be a signpost for something that they are doing, or even like. You would know what it is if you look and trust your knowingness here, it is all learning and the sign of the Angel Feather is calling you to that something in their life that you need to look at too.

 Feathers are used many times in situations where people are consumed or gripped by fear. Often these fears are unfounded, but the mind if left unchecked, spirals out of control. They are there as a reminder that the person is safe and being looked after. If they replace that fear with faith they will feel that safety and protection at a deep level of their being and the fear will diminish. Imagine how a life would be transformed by living from this place of such incredible solid faith.

 They also appear as a sign to tell people they are on the right path, or that the course of action or journey they may have been speculating is the right one. This is especially the case where people doubt or do not listen to their inner guidance, getting confused or muddled and allowing fear to stop them from taking a step into their true magnificence. The external sign cannot be dismissed so easily especially as it is given in such a way as it would be impossible to be seen as a random coincidence. Those that see it like that will not think so after 3 or 4 of these Angel feathers appear in such a bizarre manner! Particularly in places where they could not physically have got there by normal means. And so yes, in this sense we use the method of random, bizarre placing of Angel Feather’s to wake people up akin to tickling their consciousness wide awake!

 If you have no idea what the Feather’s have symbolised and don’t seem to be related to a symbol or confirmation of something you have asked for guidance on, then we would say pay particular attention to the number that you see at any one time. They are a herald of important events coming to pass in your life. For example, if you see a group of 7 or experience 7 in a concurrent fashion in one day it is a message to be alert for possibilities in the next 7 coming days. This can be a chance meeting, a new opportunity but whatever happens we Angels are highlighting to you that it is significant.

 With the Angel Feather, we remind you of the white dove, Holy Spirit and that the Angel feather in its simplest meaning represents the purity of spirit and divine spark in all creation.  It is to remind you that the Holy Spirit is at work in your life, and a reminder that you are always connected to that and we want you to pay attention, just open your eyes, feel it, and remember. In cases of affirmation of your path it is a message akin to saying this is the divine path for you at this time in your life. Whenever you see one, acknowledge the divine at work in your life and be grateful for all that you are, and all that the divine has bestowed upon you, embrace your gifts and boldly step into the current path that is being shown to you knowing that we are with you encouraging you and blessing you without judgement each step of the way. Your steps are our steps and your joy is our greatest joy is guiding you!

Exactly one week after we lost our beloved Tabby Tiddles  we are now by some strange twist of fate and I feel Angelic intervention – the carers of 4 beautiful Tabby kittens.

 On Sunday the 15^th of August I got a call from one of my friends. She said that she was going to get a kitten and did I want one. I had felt it was a good idea as the brother of the one we had lost needed a new companion and it would help all of us take our minds off the one we had lost.  

 An hour later she called me back in floods of tears. The house she had gone to was a tip to say the least and the owner was a serious addict and could not look after the tiny kittens. It transpired they were only 3 weeks old. She had the choice of taking all 4 of them or seeing them put into a wheelie bin. As she has two dogs and no experience with young kittens she called me to see if I could help.

 Later that afternoon the 4 arrived here and I was amazed to see they were miniatures of the one we lost, all 4 of them tabby with beautiful blue eyes, ear tufts and hieroglyphic like markings. My partner and daughter are over the moon and both feel that the kittens were a gift and after seeing all the feathers on the day that Tabby died I can only assume that Angels had something to do with bringing these beautiful creatures to us.

 They are all doing great and no longer require a feed every 4 hours which meant a few sleepless nights at first. We have homes for them all expect one who has made its intention to stay with us very clear. The vet has checked them over and said they are in great shape. We are very grateful to have been given such a beautiful gift and become the guardians of these kitties. Thank you Angels.

 Three days ago my beautiful 10 month old tabby cat – ‘Tabby Tiddles’ was suddenly taken from us, probably by a car – possibly a fox. This was about 11 am on a Sunday morning and our usual lazy Sunday world of pyjamas and cooked breakfast whilst reading the morning papers had been shattered.

After a mad frenzy of getting dressed and running outside prompted by our neighbours who had found him followed by the anguish of realizing it was too late to do anything – we came back in and the conversation turned to what shall we do with him. As we live in rented accommodation it did not feel right or even possible that we would be able to bury him in the beautiful gardens that surround our home. So I decided we all needed some air to clear our head and calm us down and hopefully inspire us with an answer.

We decided to go for a walk in the woods opposite our house. We crossed the road and as we entered the path into the woods all 3 of us saw a beautiful white feather in front of us. This was followed by another, then another, then another and more! No less than ten in total and each one all spread about 1 meter apart on the path. My 6 year old daughter immediately felt it was a sign from the Angels that they were with us in our time of grief. And also to tell us that Tabby Tiddles was now in their care and being looked after by our heavenly Angel friends.

 I picked up the last white feather, much larger than the rest and totally clean and pristine. Immediately I felt that I was being told that the number 10 symbolized his many lives. That cat’s have 9 lives and on the 10^th there life is up at least on this plane. Our beautiful cat was only 10 months old so it is good going that he lived a whole lifetime in each month.

We miss him dearly. To us he was an angel in a cat’s body. He oozed love and was one of those rare cats that let you treat him like a teddy bear. He gave love to everyone and everything he came into contact with, definitely angelic qualities. We all miss him dearly and his mummy cat and brother miss him too. I just pray that they will get over this and that the Angels may bring Pepper his brother a new play mate as him and his twin brother Tabby Tiddles were inseparable. We have kept the feather as a reminder of our beautiful Angelic Tabby Cat. R.I.P. Tabby Tiddles we love you very much and we are very grateful that we got to share your 9 lives…

People often ask me how they can find out which Angel or Angels are watching over them. If you are not strongly clairvoyant or Clair cognizant (to directly know the truth) yourself or find meditating for the answer difficult – another way is to ask the Angels to show you clearly who it is. Sometimes it is not even necessary to ask as the Angel whom is with you may wish to make itself known as my own experiences with this shows.

In 1999 whilst living in London and running a crystal shop in a healing centre I began to have many synchronicities in my life with the word ‘Emmanuel.’ I remember on one day it had got very silly. I had been in Cambridge buying stock and ‘Emmanuel Street’ had jumped out at me. I  had seen the sign ‘Emmanuel’ on a red van on the way home and had returned home that evening with all my crystal goodies only to find that an ‘Emmanuel’ had left a message on my answer phone!

Over the next two weeks I continued having synchronicities with this name. It is not like it is a very common name at least not here in the UK. On a few occasions I also saw Angel lights appear over the sign or word.  Angel lights are tiny sparkles or pin pricks of usually white light but may be other colours such as blue or gold. I have learnt for me personally these tiny flashes of light discern truth. When I see them I know I need to sit up and pay attention to what is being shown or spoken about as it is a sign that the information is very important and relevant for me and I must take note of it.

Anyway I did some research as when the names began appearing I also began feeling a loving presence around me. It was like receiving a warm uplifting hug and it was then that I really felt I was in the presence of an Angel. It was as if I was glowing inside from the beautiful energy. I googled Emmanuel Angel and then I came across the channelled Emmanuel series of books by Pat Rodegast. It made me go very cold and shivery when I read about them and I knew was then that I really knew that this Angel Emmanuel was with me at that point in my life guiding me.

Since then I have had many experiences with Emmanuel. He seems to come into my life (or maybe I just notice him) whenever my direction needs to change slightly or significantly! It is like he is there to oversee my life and make sure that I make the necessary changes that I need to make at the time. He helps point me in the new direction and makes me feel safe and secure taking steps that I may otherwise fear.  

I know in my experience the Angel choose to show his presence without my request but if you are curious about who is watching over you, all I would say is try this. Sit down and mentally ask your Angels to show you who they are. Tell them you would like very clear coincidences and synchronicities over the coming week that give you no doubt who it is who is looking after you.

Be prepared and be open. Ask every day until you start receiving signs. You may have dreams, hear a particular name repeated several times over a few hours or few days, pick up a book and open it on a page that mentions one of the Archangels or just intuitively get a sense of who they are. If you use Angels Cards you may find that one Angel keeps coming up and if I were you I would take that as a clear sign as to who is watching over you or who you need to acknowledge in your life at this time.
